Experience rooibos like never before at the Carmién Tea Shop at De Tol Farm Deli, located on top of the Piekenierskloof Pass, N7.

Taste our variety of teas, enjoy special tea and gin pairings, or sip on a creamy rooibos cappuccino. Take a tour of the surrounding areas and try your hand at crafting your own unique tea blend. We also have exciting activities for the kids, so parents can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Carmién Rooibos tea farms while sipping on a delicious rooibos cappuccino or a rooibos-infused gin cocktail.

The Rooibos Experience

Take a guided tour of the rooibos tea fields surrounding the Carmién Tea Shop and learn how every cup of our rooibos is lovingly farmed and processed by the team at Carmién Tea. Finish it all off with a tea tasting back at the Tea Shop to round out the experience.

For groups of six people or fewer, we also offer the opportunity to craft your own special blend of tea from a wide variety of natural ingredients harvested directly from the surrounding farms.

    About De Tol

    Located on a historic piece of land along the Piekenierskloof Pass, is a white building filled with many stories. Stories of Pikemen, toll fees and a nurse with her first aid cabinet. The building acted as a supply station and pitstop to many travellers since 1864. De Tol, probably the oldest farm stall on the N7 is now proudly owned by Bergendal, our family farm situated 8km further along the Paleisheuwel Road.

    Browse locally sourced goods at the De Tol Farm Deli and enjoy special wine tastings and pairings at the Piekenierskloof Wines Tasting Room.
