Experience Rooibos like never before at our Tea Shop at De Tol Farm Deli, outside of Citrusdal on the N7. Pairing tea with food and wine presents your palate with a new depth of taste allowing you to experience enhanced flavours through the complementary elements of various ingredients. A host of articles have been written about pairing tea with chocolate, but a rooibos tea, food & wine pairing is a particularly unique tasting experience. Rooibos tea acts as a natural palate cleanser and is also naturally sweet as opposed to astringent black teas. You can also browse locally sourced goods at the Deli and enjoy special wine tastings and pairings at the Piekenierskloof Wines Tasting Room.

Enjoy a unique tasting experience with Carmién Tea and Piekenierskloof Wines. Choose 4 Piekenierskloof Wines, accompanied by palate cleansing and flavour enhancing rooibos teas; add a special cheese platter, or a homemade mini quiche or an iconic De Tol flatbread of your choice and for dessert, add the Carmién gin and nougat pairing. GIN PAIRINGS
Our gin & nougat pairing is a must for gin and Rooibos lovers alike. The rich and spicy taste of the Citrus Chai gin is paired with decadent white chocolate, vanilla, olive oil and almond nougat, while the light and sweet-tasting Floral Berry gin is paired with a delicious almond and cranberry nougat, adding a creamy finish to every sip. Sip, bite, and sip again for the ultimate pairing experience. The two Rooibos gins are also available to purchase at our Tea Shop.
