MINA MOO’S MILKY’S & STRAWBERRY FLOATS
20 MIN SERVES 8
Ingredients:
MILKY’S
- 1 litre (4 c) full-cream milk
- 4 tea bags, Carmién tea Sleepy Time, camomile & strawberry
- Surgar to taste
- A few drops pink food colouring (optional)
MILKY’S
Method:
- Place the tea bags in the milk and slowly heat until infused, about 5 min. Do not boil.
- Cool with the tea bags still inside.
- Remove the bags once cooled.
- Add a tiny bit of sugar with a few drops of pink food colouring.
- Pour into small jars.
STRAWBERRY FLOATS
- 6 bags Carmién tea Sleepy time, with camomile & strawberry
- 500 ml (2 c) litre boiling water
- 250 ml (1 c) strawberry juice
- 500 ml (2 c) lemonade or to taste
- 1 litre (4 c) vanilla ice-cream
- Frozen berries for sprinkling on top
STRAWBERRY FLOATS
Method:
- Steep the tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes till strong.
- Remove the tea bags and cool.
Add the juice and keep in the fridge (this can be done the day before). - Just before serving, pour the cooled tea in double-walled glass tea cups (available @Carmientea for R45 each), add lemonade to taste and top each cup with a scoop of ice-cream.
- Add a sprinkling of berries and serve.
