a Mommy and Daughter date
Once a month we get all dressed up to go to town. Shiny bows in our hair, blusher on our cheeks and a dash of “The Rose” perfume on our wrists. We sit down at our booked table at the local coffee shop, throw the white linnen napkins over our laps and wait for our order to be taken. (Ps. We only have one tiny, but amazing, coffee shop in town. Yes, you read correctly. Only one coffee shop!)
Charmaine comes over to very “formally” take our order, already knowing what it will be. Two rooibos cappuccinos and an order of cinnamon pancakes. (No sugar for Marguerite, only cinnamon.)
We then eat, drink and spend quality time together.
